Online Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
The online Bachelor of Social Work program combines a strong liberal arts foundation with professional training in theory and meaningful fieldwork. Completion of this program prepares you for entry-level roles and to apply for advanced standing in the Aurora University Master of Social Work (MSW) program.
As a student of the online Bachelor of Social Work program, you may choose to complete an Addictions specialization as part of your degree. Upon graduation, you will be qualified to take the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) examination to earn certification. You may also complete additional credits to prepare for the Co-Occurring Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders certificate.
BSW students may also choose the Child Welfare track to gain Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) certification and Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP). After completing your degree, you’ll be eligible to obtain a Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL) upon employment at a child welfare agency.
Online Master of Social Work (MSW)
The online Master of Social Work program provides you with a foundation in generalist clinical social work practice and specialized study.
