Curriculum Overview

AU’s online MPA features coursework in community relations, budgeting, public policy and nonprofit management. All courses are taught by expert instructors with extensive experience in their fields. The MPA features no textbook costs, as it uses the Open Educational Resources library and network.

Leadership Series Option

If you are interested in a degree that offers leadership skills, AU offers a series of three leadership courses you may take as electives. These courses are designed to strengthen your team building and change management skills while preparing you to become a leader in your field.

*Up to 6 hours may be taken in MBA courses

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college and/or university (minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale*)

  • Transcripts (official, sealed) for all prior colleges/universities.

*Applicants with undergraduate GPAs below 3.0 will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must submit a personal statement. Additional letters of recommendation and/or an interview with the program director may be required.

Graduate-level course credit is transferable, allowing students to earn their degree faster than ever. Graduate-level credit earned at regionally accredited institutions of higher education graded “B” or better may be transferred to Aurora University and applied toward a master’s or other post-baccalaureate programs prior to enrollment into Aurora University.
